Good ideas and help in planning special events

Planning Special Events has been a waterloo for me and though I can say I have learned a bit already, I guess there are really times when you are still off your cue like this time I was asked by my company to plan out the upcoming summer event, a company outing and picnic. I honestly thought it would be easier for me since I had a bit of experience in handling such but as it turned out, I was blanked on ideas a that time and more pressure added where my boss wanted the idea handed in as soon as possible!
